การใช้ many, few, much and little

มันขึ้นอยู่กับปริมาณของสิ่งที่เอ่ยถึง

1. Use many and few for countable nouns. / ใช้ many และ few สำหรับคำนามที่นับได้

I have many/few friends. 
ฉันมีเพื่อนมากมาย/สองสามคน

There are many more opportunities waiting for you. 
มีความเป็นไปได้มากกว่าสำหรับการรอคุณ

2. Use much and little for uncountable nouns / ใช้ much และ little สำหรับนามที่นับไม่ได้

She has much/little money in the bank. 
เธอมีเงินเยอะ/นิดหน่อยในธนาคาร

There is much more pollution in the city. 
มีมลภาวะมากมายในเมือง


3. Use "a lot of" and "lots of" for both countable and uncountable nouns. Use "is/was" for uncountable and "are/were" for countable nouns. 
ใช้ a lot of  กับ lots of  สำหรับนามที่นับได้ และนับไม่ได้
ใช้     is/was  กับนามที่นับไม่ได้
ใช้    are/were กับนามที่นับได้


I have lots of things to do today. ฉันมีสิ่งที่ต้องทำมากมายในวันนี้
You'll be in lot of trouble if you get caught.  คุณจะมีปัญหาเยอะแยะ หากถูกจับ
There is a lot of crime in Manhattan. มีอาชญากรรมมากมายในแมนฮัตตั้น
There are a lot of cars on the road at this hour. มีรถมากมายบนท้องถนนในชั่วโมงนี้
There is a lot more pollution in the city than in the country. มีมลภาวะใหตัวเมืองมากกว่าชนบท
There are a lot more people now than last week.ตอนนี้ มีคนมากกว่าสัปดาห์ก่อน
